Private Training for Organizations

NVLSP offers private training for groups of veterans service officers, attorneys, and other advocates who represent veterans before the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Our attorneys are available to travel to a training event hosted by your organization or can provide training via webinar. Our training can be used by veterans service organizations to accredit their service officers, as well as by attorneys and claims agents to satisfy the VA’s accreditation requirements. We can even create examinations to accompany our presentations. We will work with you to create a training program tailored to the needs of your organization.

NVLSP trains the service officers of several of the largest state departments of veterans affairs. We have also conducted training for national veterans service organizations, including The American Legion, Vietnam Veterans of America, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and AMVETS. We have developed and conducted training programs for attorneys in organizations such as the Veterans Consortium Pro Bono Program, Legal Services Corporation, The National Legal Aid and Defender Association, The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, and several state bar associations.

For further information or to receive a quote for private training, please contact NVLSP’s Director of Training and Publications, Rick Spataro, at richard@nvlsp.org. Pricing is based on a number of factors, including the amount of training time, travel time and expenses (for in-person training), and estimated material preparation time.

We recommend that you contact us at least 2 months prior to your anticipated training date, but we may be able to accommodate requests made closer to the date of the event.
